Banana, Walnut & Chocolate Bread

If you have been following my blog for a while then you will know that I make banana bread quite often as I buy bananas then forget about them! This time I thought I would mix it up a little and add some walnuts and chocolate chips.

4 ripe bananas mashed, 250g caster sugar, 2 eggs, 140g softened butter, 250g plain flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 100g walnut pieces, 100g milk chocolate chips.

I just added each ingredient at a time mixing as I went.

I poured the mixture into a baking tray and added some thin banana slices and chocolate chips on the top for decoration.  I baked this for 1 hour at 170°C.

I love the smooth chocolate and banana with the crunchy walnut.

I love the combination of walnuts, bananas and the sweetness from chocolate and I’m a massive banana bread fan (who isn’t?) so I’d love this. The only thing is for me I’d use dark choc chips!
