Christmas Makeup

I got two beauty advent calendars this year and I’m loving them both so much! The first is from Makeup Revolution and the second is the 12 day calendar from Tanya Burr Cosmetics.  SPOILER ALERT! I have already opened all twelve days so if you don’t want any of the gifts to be spoiled for you then turn away now.

I thought I would put together a Christmas Makeup look using the lovely products from the Calendars so far.

I started with my usual base then used the Makeup Revolution Bronzer to contour my cheekbones, forehead and nose.  This is a matte bronzer so perfect for contouring, it is also a great shade for my pale skin.

I was really surprised by how pigmented these Makeup Revolution products.  The Mono Eyeshadow in the shade New Tral Red also makes a beautiful blush.  It’s a pinky, red shade.  I don’t think I am brave enough to rock this as an eyeshadow.  The Baked Blush in Hard Day is a beautiful pink shimmer shade so I used this as a highlight.

I used the Soap and Glory Brow Archery and NYX Brow mascara as usual for my brows then used the same bronzer over my eyelid and into the crease.  These Makeup Revolution powder products go on so smoothly and are easy to blend although I didn’t do a great job blending the blush!

I then used the Mono Eyeshadow in Paper Luxe over my lid and in the inner corner.  I love this eyeshadow and have used it nearly everyday since I opened the little door, it’s a beautiful shimmery champagne shade. On top of this I pressed on some of the Tanya Burr Glitter liner in Treasured for some extra sparkle.

I added some mascara and the Tanya Burr matte lip in Christmas stocking.  This is a beautiful orangey, red shade.  I love the way it looks with my blue eyes and because it was matte it was really easy to apply and comfortable to wear.

Do you have any beauty advent calendars this year?

The orange red of the lipstick really accentuates your beautiful blue eyes. If you compare photo one with photo five it is really quite obvious. Beautiful. Love Mum
