Wednesday the 9th of May marked the 73rd anniversary of the liberation of Guernsey, after five years of occupation during World War II. On this day every year the Island comes together to celebrate and remember. We were extremely fortunate with the weather this year so Nic and I went for a lovely walk before watching the cavalcade.
My outfit for the day was, of course, made up of red, white and blue. This dress is an ASOS own bright red day dress with a beautiful floral print. I paired it with my denim jacket from Dorothy Perkins. I purchased this a few years ago so I cannot link the exact jacket but it is a very standard style and shape. It is actually a bit big for me but that makes it perfect for warmer weather. For shoes, I wore my white high top Converse. Nice and light but perfect for walking in (as long as you are not walking too far).
For my makeup I also went for red, white and blue. I used the Makeup Revolution liquid highlighter all over my lid before applying the shade Ounce from the Naked Heat Palette over the top. I then used a blue eyeshadow to line my upper and lower lash line before adding mascara. For my lips I used the NYX matte lipstick in the shade Eden but found this to be a little too pink so also added some of the NYX simply red lip cream in the shade Russian Roulette.
