May is a good month. In Guernsey we get three bank holidays in May! I have quite a few different things to share with you this month.
I’ll start with the obvious, do I even need to say it. My first favourite this month is of course the Greatest Showman. This was finally released on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK towards the start of this month and I think I love it more and more every time I watch it. If you have not seen it yet do go and buy it, you will not be disappointed!
Whilst on the subject of things to watch I have also been rewatching FRIENDS on Netflix. I love friends and had all of the episodes on VHS when I was younger. They took up a whole bookshelf! I now have the ten series DVD box set but the autoplay function on Netflix makes it so much easier to binge watch. I must say, when I was watching it when I was younger I didn’t realise how rude it was, that is probably because I didn’t understand the jokes. I love the 90’s makeup and fashion so much! Can we go back?
When Nic and I were in Jersey for my Birthday in March I picked up some of the Liz Earl Cleanse and Polish. I used to use this a year or two ago but when it run out, rather than repurchasing it, I switched to using the Garnier Micellar Water which I did really like too. Our Boots does not stock Liz Earl so when I saw it in Jersey I stocked up. I forgot how good it was!
I picked up a new shower gel this month. It’s by Treaclemoon and in the scent Marshmallow hearts. I had not tried anything from this brand before but it looks and smells amazing. It leaves my skin feeling great and smelling like marshmallows. You can see how much I have loved this by how empty the bottle is. I do think Nic has been using this one too!
As Summer is on it’s way its time to start exfoliating again. I have been using the Zoella Scrubbing Me Softly Smoothing Body Scrub. This scrub is not too harsh but not too soft either. I like to be able to feel the scrub working and this one does. It also smells amazing! This scent is one of my favourites from Zoella, perfect for summer!
For my Birthday my sister bought me an ASOS voucher so after hours of scrolling I chose to buy the Spectrum 8 Piece Eye Blending Brush Set. You can never have too many eye brushes! I love the design of these brushes and they are super soft. I had heard a lot of good things about Spectrum brushes so I was confident when buying them that I would like them.
I have actually placed a couple of orders on ASOS recently. The dress I wore in my Liberation Day was from ASOS. I also ordered a couple more dresses at the time I ordered this one. The first is by Vera Moda, it’s a Purple and Pink Stripe Skater Dress. This dress is really good quality, it is a thick Jersey material and fits really nicely. I have worn this to work a few times already. The second is a Miss Selfridge Spot and Floral Print Skater Dress. I love the mix of the patterns on this one. Another ASOS purchase was a pair of denim shorts also my Vera Moda. I think denim shorts are a staple for summer but struggle to find a pair that are not too short. I’m not confident enough to rock short shorts everyday so when I saw these I immediately added them to my basket. The length is perfect and they are slightly more high waisted so make me feel really secure.

For my birthday Nic bought me the a MacBook Pro to replace my tired, old heavy HP Laptop. Its so light and sleek. It has really helped me get back into blogging again.
That leads me onto my last favourite of this month and every month. Nic. This month Nic and I celebrated a whole 5 years together and a year since purchasing our home.
What have been your favourite things during May?
