Rachel Green inspired Makeup

If you read my May Favourites then you will know that I have been rewatching FRIENDS on Netflix and am obsessed with the 90’s makeup and fashion.  I wanted to have a go at recreating Rachel Green’s classic makeup look from the earlier series.

For my base I used the Bourjois CC Cream with a combination of the Maybelline FIT me concealer and Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and set everything with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.  All of Rachel’s makeup is Matte so I searched through my collection for all my Matte brown products.  For Bronzer I used the Sleek Face Contour Kit in Light. I applied this as a contour and also up onto my cheeks for a more bronzed look.

For my eyes I used the Tanya Burr Fairytale eye Palette, starting with the shade Cream Tea on the inner third and brow bone before applying Velvet Cushion on the outer third and into the crease.  I took the crease shade all the way into the inner corner as this is what Rachel used to do.  Using the shade Chestnut from the Tanya Burr Perfect Brows kit I defined my upper and lower lash line and also smudged this into the outer corner to deepen this up a little.  I didn’t have a deep brown matte eyeshadow but this worked perfectly.  I lined my lower waterline with the MAC Teddy eye kohl and applied mascara.  I would have used a brown mascara if I had one.

For lips I had to mix a couple of different products to get a shade that worked. I used the NYX Lingerie in the shade Corset mixed with the NYX Butter Lipstick in the shade Ripe Berry.
